My Background

From a young age, I aspired to become a doctor. I have always enjoyed being around people and value creativity, efficiency, and a solution-oriented mindset. These qualities are especially evident in the field of surgery, which I find particularly versatile.

To me, aesthetic surgery represents one of the highest disciplines within plastic surgery. In this field, I have the privilege of working on a healthy body. While patients may have understandable concerns, they could also choose to leave things as they are and come to terms with their appearance. This underscores the immense responsibility I carry as an aesthetic surgeon. The desire for beautification has always been deeply rooted in human nature, and my role is to fulfill this desire with the utmost expertise, quality, and understanding.

My journey to becoming a specialist in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery has taken me to various places. As a native Greek, I completed the majority of my studies in Germany. My education took me to Hong Kong, South Africa, and Greece, after which I chose to further my professional training in my birthplace Zurich. There, I earned my specialist title at the University Hospital Zurich. As a senior physician, I focused on plastic and aesthetic surgery while also working in a center for severe burn injuries.

Seeking new challenges, I relocated to Stuttgart to deepen my expertise in facial and nasal plastic surgery. My interest in women's health led me to a position in reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery in Zurich, where I was excited by the opportunity to work in the private sector and contribute to the establishment of a new clinic. This motivated me to pursue a part-time master's degree in managed health care, which I successfully completed in 2022. At Dermanence, I now have the opportunity to apply all the skills I have acquired.

It is important to me to make aesthetic surgery accessible and human-centered. As a good listener, I strive to understand my patients' wishes and concerns, translating them into natural outcomes. I remain grounded and will refuse treatment if I cannot justify it, as not everything that is theoretically possible should be pursued. As Hygeia, the Greek goddess of health, wisely stated, "Everything in good measure."
